Name: Jackie Age: 19 Gender: Female Hair/Eye color: A light brown/green Occupation: Starving artist/attempted author Personality: Jackie has a quiet personality, almost as if she were always sad, she is friendly, and enjoys to sip coffee and hang out with her friends. Looks: She is a medium height, with long brown hair usually kept in a pony tail, her skin is a soft pink-white. She has a really slender figure, with curves, but not much of them. Under her right arm is the tattoo of a cherry blossom on a branch.
Jackie sat at a small cafe by the river, a late steaming in front of her, the gentle bubbling of a brook filled the air with pleasant sounds,a nd the cooler air the water brought with it soothed her, she was nervous, as she was meeting a new person here. She sipped her coffee and looked up at the sun in the sky, it was heading on its path towards the horizon, an early evening. She glanced at her watch. the person she was meeting was late.

Name: Parker Age: 20 Gender: Male Hair/Eye color: He has black hair and clear, blue eyes. Occupation: Curator's helper at the local gallery Personality: Is as outgoing as he can, which is quite difficult at the gallery. That aside, he's nice, but can be a bitch when he's sad or angry--which seems to me a lot. His brother is the only one that he's never a bitch too, though. Looks: He's tall enough, though he doesn't tower over anyone he knows. He has straight, medium length hair, and pale skin. He's pretty skinny, with no bulging muscles, but he's strong enough to get by.
Parker sighed, looking out at the empty sidewalk. Where was she? They said they would meet here, but so far, he hasn't seen her. He looked down at his watch. It was almost six, she should have been here at five forty-five. Parked looked back out, feeling a bit relived when a car rode up and parked in front of the coffee shop. The left door opened, and out stood not a girl, but a guy, his brother? Oh, crap! He thought. Yes, his brother. With trembling hands, Parker quickly dialed the girl's number. If his brother found out that the girl wasn't here yet, he would try setting him up on yet another date. Friggin teenager, he thought, listening to the third ring.

Jackie leaned her cheek on her palm, almost sideways, and let out a sigh, he probably wouldn't show up, too busy being popular, or something. Her cell phone interrupted her thoughts, Cheeseburger in Paradise playing. The name Parker flashed on the outer screen of her flip phone, prolly calling to cancel.
"Hello?" she spoke into it, trying to sound pleasant

ooc// Psh, oh great I have another stalker. Kidding, maybe...yeah, I think I am. Whatever, I'm getting to the story now. Parker thought he was going to start hyperventilating. He was never one to talk to people, his job consisted of helping the curator, which was his father, so he really didn't need to talk to strangers much. But now, sitting in this dull Starbucks (who knew a Starbucks could be dull? Well this one is getting renovated), he seriously thought he was going to double-up and start coughing, or something. Another thing to mention, he was to be angry at this person, right? He wasn't sure if he could do that, being angry because he supposedly stood him up. Lucky for him, Jackie answered on the fifth ring, so he had a few seconds to prepare himself. "Hello?" A shy, kindly voice answered on the other line. "Oh, uh, hi Jackie. Um, I was just wondering if we were still going to meet for coffee today. You know, my brother said he had a fried, and gave me your number, and all, but I wasn't sure if you actually wanted to...hang out." He said, searching for a good way to put that, and continued blundering through the conversation. "So, uh...you didn't forget, right?" He almost hoped she did.

She raised a single eyebrow, and looked around again, she couldn't see him anywhere in the cafe or the back area.
"Yeah we're still on. I'm already there, waiting for you to show up," she said, a little harsher than she intended, and she winced, "I'm sorry, no, yeah, i'm here, where are you?"
So she was a little ticked off, she had thought she was being stood up again.

Parker thought for a minute, then stood up, looking for a stream of light brown hair sitting by their selves. He saw a mousey-haired guy, so that was out of the question. He frowned.
"Yeah, okay, so you say you're here, but I can't find you! I'm at Starbucks, you know, the one on Primrose Avenue that's getting renovated?" He asked, and then slid a little further into the chair, taking a long sip of his coffee and waiting for her to answer. This time, he was prepared.

"Outside by the river, its a lovely evening outside," she replied, looking inside the starbucks for Parker, spotting him, she waved her hand in the air, "look out the window!" she exclaimed, and hoped that she wasn't making a fool of herself

And, instead of hearing an answer to the question he asked on the other line, he saw a hand. It was waving maniacally from the outside window. He looked a little further down, there was a body attached, obviously. It was a girl, and she looked like she knew him. She had light brown hair that made him immediately think, Jackie! On the phone, which was all but forgotten, Parker says happily, "Ah ha! Found you!", and stands up from the plush blue hippie couch he was sitting in and makes a bee-line for the clear-glass door.

Jackie smiled a little shyly, and suddenly realized that this was very awkward, watching him walk to her. Should she get up and meet him half way? Stay there and pretend not to see him? Watch him? He was very attractive, but watching him seemed creeperish, so she concentrated on the flowing water, ignoring his approach, she sipped her coffee and waited for him to sit down across from her.

With a flourish, Parker slid into the chair in front of Jackie, staring out at the river. He placed hi half-drank coffee on the table, and looked wistfully back into the shop. It had few customers, due to the fact it was being renovated and because it was getting close to night. "So, Jackie," Parker said grudgingly, pushing a lock of hair back from his eyes. "Tell me about yourself." He only hoped there would be some dramatic emergency and he could get himself out of this 'date' of his.

She looked up at him, and smiled a little sadly, "Hey, I hope you don't plan on running" She said, seeming to read his min, "I'm not all that bad."
She winked playfully at him and smiled again, hoping he would stop being so tense, he had really nice hair, and honest eyes.
She smiled at him again and sipped her coffee quietly, content to sit there and listen to the sounds of nature

"Oh...uh, no, don't you worry your pretty little head." He said, trying to be confident, but failing miserably. His finger twitched, and he looked over to her, a twinkle of sadness clotted in his eyes. "Sorry...if you haven't noticed, I'm not a peoples person." And he smiled returning the slight one Jackie had given him. "But come on, you never answered my request! Tell me about yourself," He grinned this time, pushing his hand up to the old glass table.

She tried to smile warmly, but felt like she had failed. "Oh, i don't mind," she replied, trying to be reassuring, "well, not much to say really, I enjoy relaxing to classical music and writing books."
She smiles at him, more warmly this time, "what about yourself?" she asks, leaning forward a little more.

When Jackie leaned in, a few strands of hair fell over her face. It made Parker blush a bit, red creeping up his nose.
"Uh..." He began, not knowing where to start on his pitiful life. "Well, I work at the gallery on Nadine Street; have you ever been?"
